Tag Lifters - July

So happy I got to do this month's Tag Lifters. I used a rubber stamp that looks so much like my beagle. Especially when he has his "Sad Sack" Face. Usually he does this when his smells something really tasty!
Bailey will be 14 years old in August!

Liftateers, Year 4 - Week #39

Finally got to finish my last page from our trip to Salmonier Nature Park...which was from our first Summer in Newfoundland back in 2010.

Photos of my daughter leaning over on the boardwalk to get a closer look at the Spider webs. We had just had a bit a rain before we got to the park. So, the spider webs had raindrops on them.

This is Week #39
I created this card for a Boy Baby Shower...
His Dad is a All-Around Sportsman...
His Mom is ready for him to come into this world...

So, I wished them a "Great Catch" and for Mom's sake not a whopper!

Even added some fishing line.

Here is Week #37

Cut out "NIGHT" using Artiste Cartridge then edged with silver gel pen.

Used CM Wavy Trimmer then edge distressed paper strips. Used part of the frame that I got when we went out to The Melting Pot for my birthday!

It's no secret that women's fashion of the 80's involved the resurgence of shoulder pads. Let that be the inspiration for this challenge, which is to include something dimensional and padded on your project.

Little Yellow Bicycle's new release "Feels Like Home" immediately had me singing Madonna's 1989 hit,  Like  A Prayer....Life is a mystery, Everyone must stand alone, I hear you call my name, and it feels like home. And then of course you can't think of Madonna without thinking of Material Girl. So let's make this challenge inspired by Madonna and her hit Material Girl.

Create a project using material, some sort of metal, and a bit of bling...all of Madonna's favorite thing! Bonus points if your material is leather & lace :) If you're looking for inspiration, Google "Madonna fashion icon" for images of her outfits.

Maya Road, with their love of zippers, has inspiredus to jump back to the popular ‘80’s fashion of Zipper-Legged Jeans! Did you wear them!?! Your Challenge is to create a project that includes a zipper :)  This could be a zipper embellishment, zipper border, zipper in sewing…… Maybe now’s the time to challenge yourself to make an adorable zipper flower! Something about the cutesy designs of Doodlebug Designs brings out the child in us. This has inspired us to look back at the popular toys of the 80s and challenge you to create a project inspired by one of them. You can use a design element directly from the character or use even use the color combination from their clothing.
Here’s a list to choose from: Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Dolls, Teddy Ruxpin, Strawberry Shortcake, He-Man, Pound Puppies or My Little Pony.

May Arts, with all their frilly ribbons and trims, remind us of the Ruffles that trimmed interior design in the ‘80’s with ruffles on pillows, curtains, bedspreads……

Also remember those macramé plant hangings :)

Left the chipboard piece blank until I know what occasion I am going to use the card for!

Week #33 

I used a patterned notecard set I had. I used the old Sizzix Machine to punch out the leaf from the card base and backed it with Chocolate Textured Cardstock. Sanded it a bit and cut out the detail.

                       

Then attached the leaf to the envelope.

Will add a sentiment when I know what occasion I will be using the card! It has a Fall feel to me! May even embellish some more with some buttons & that gold ribbon I used for the Christmas ornament card.

I made another Fall feeling card! I am actually thinking of making this one my birthday card! My husband has asked me for cards in the past that he can use. So, I told him I might make him some as long as he will write his own sentiments inside!
