A Thank you card for the Storytime Librarian

I really haven't done much in the way of scrapbooking since the retreat I went to back at the beginning of November. I only made the cards for the events that were happening currently, mainly birthdays. I never even got the chance to make any Christmas cards...glad I have a few in my stash for the teachers this year. This is the last one for 2013.

Storytime Librarian received this one:
I don't remember which cartridge I found the book in. The tickets were stamped and I pulled out the old deco scissors.

Found this quote below to include as the sentiment. Since there was such fun and entertaining sounds coming for the storytime room. It really fit well!

Super Hero Birthday Card

Finally got to play with this stamp set for a Super Hero Birthday my daughter was going to attend.
Used Superhero papers and stamps that match.

Colored in using ink markers...would love to learn how to use Copics. But not sure if I need to add another scrapbooking line of tools/markers/inks to my collection.

Stamped the city to the background and added the rub-on from the assortment pack.

Another Hockey Birthday Card - Take 2

For Nephew who seems to Eat.Sleep.Skate. for Hockey this season.

I made a hockey skate using Go Canada Cartridge. Added the black & white twine for laces.

He is a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
For his birthday cake she mom made the lightning bolt using a turquoise color, which I followed for the stamped lightning bolt and saying. Was excited to find a close lightning stamp in Superhero Workshop stamp.

Inked up the saying for a ice look.

Another Hockey Birthday Card.

Kids had a Hockey birthday party to go to.

Here is the card I created:
Inked up the card to give it some ice skate lines of texture.

Used Sky blue to ink distress the inside.

Stamped a Goalie on the front of the card. Using the CTMH - Goal Stamp set.

A Birthday Card for a Wine Lover

My mother-in-law's birthday card.

Sticko Stickers - Wine & Glass on Ink Distressed Shape

This year was hard for her as far a birthday milestones go. So I saying she says often added to the sentiment to fit. "Your only as old as your mind feels you are..."

So, with my mother-in-law's feeling for this birthday the saying "Aged to Perfection" was not what she was looking for so I found this one on a CTMH stamp set. Fit perfectly for the wine and her mind.

The rest I never posted from the retreat back at the beginning of November.

I had a bunch of pictures and papers in mind for a long time to do some pages. Just never got the 2 together until now!

Here is my daughter listening to her brother's heartbeat back in 2009...  DOCTOR BECK is in!
Sticker Tags were places around the photo collage style but also to hide those different things you only notice after the picture is developed. My husband took the pictures so even if it is those daily life type things. I really didn't need the laundry basket in there!

This one you can guess and be right on your own what might be hiding under the tag!

My little nurse made for the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge.

Just need to add the date.

This next page was done using a favorite shot of my son while we were out somewhere.
Some vellum sayings and tabs.

Edge distressed - one of my favorite techniques.

Going to have to pick my husband's brain to see where we were and add a journal card.

Getting ready for you to arrive....
Some baby blue cotton twill ribbon across the patterned paper and cardstock. Then I finally pulled out these mixed blues pre-adhesive buttons I had. Using Posterboard Alphabet stamps and some mini silver embossed button stickers I had got put to use.

Polka Dot Alphabet and Whimsy? Alphabet stamps

Started working on a page with the Baby Announcement.

Another page in the planning stages started. My Newfie Loonie...I think this might have been one of those first pictures take after we started dating.

Well that it from the retreat!

Some more from the Weekend Retreat...

I had one page I started with my daughter in the tractor with Poppy. I never brought the Just for Girls stamp I have which is just like the one I used on my son's pages.

I used the negative from the punched paper I used to make the medallions on my son's page. I cut the paper into a strip. Added the felt button and on the other circles will use the Just for Girls stamp.

Used alphas from a Alpha Stack I had.

Now onto Halloween pages....
Combined stamps and used what was leftover in my Mischief Workshop On The Go.
Witch image was from the Wicked SOTM. Stamped on grey and used a felt die-cut piece.

Used the Mischief Workshop Stamp and markers for the candle wine bottle. Fussy cut the books some bigger than others and changed directions...also popped up two!

More die-cut felt. "Happy Halloween from Workshop stamp set and numbers from a Martha Stewart set.

Ta Da!

Party at School
I was going to place the title at the top of the page, but it got lost with the pumpkins. Added the beige banner to the back...it still was lost.
So, it found at spot on the bottom. White Pigment marker for the date.

Used some rub-ons in my Halloween stash and CM Circle Cutting system for the perfect circle cut of her pumpkin snack.

Some Trick Or Treating Shots
Using CTMH Pennant Alpha Stamp for my title and date.

Using scrap papers for mats and accents.

On to a bit of decor and friends.
I loved how this haunted house came out.
I used CTMH Cricut - Artbooking cartridge for both the house and Eek!

I liked the Bat paper behind the house with the graveyard punched border. Added the Mummy striped paper to the top...THINKING I might add some wiggly eyes peeking through.

I find that Christmas pages are a challenge for me...The Halloween page below was giving me that similar feeling. There is so much going on in pictures and then you add your cute papers...My eyes go crazy...
A little busy but done!

That's all folks...for tonight!
Next post will cover the rest!

Here is a few more pages I got done on Friday.

OK, enter the theme with this lyric....

Batmaaaaaan!

Batmaaaaaan!

Batmaaaaaan!

Batmaaaaaan!
Batman! Batman! Batman!
Batman! Batman! Batman!
Da da da da da da da da da da da da da!
Batmaaaaaan!

Found the Car & City Border...I think it was on Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge

Enter the Cape Crusader!

The Cape Crusader left to save the city. The class picture found it's way to finally be scrapped.
Becky's Nickname since she was a Baby. When she was Student of the Week in Kindergarten. I had to write a letter about her to share with the class. The class enjoyed the story about her nickname.

Class Pic

Meanwhile Back at the Farm there's hay to be cut and dried.
I needed to finish another page to go with a completed page I did awhile back.
My Liftateers, Year 4 - Week #31, but never posted it yet....Hmmm...slacking here.
Here is my Liftateers - Week #31

Here some bits to the next page I created at the retreat. Using the CTMH - Just for Boys stamps.

Need to add some more stamping maybe that tractor on the first page or a tag. Than it will be finished.

I am still working on farm pages...That's it for Friday!

A bit of what I started with on Saturday.
Still on the farm. On to turning the hay.
Got to put my newest purchase to use. Close To My Heart Stitching Guide.

Some felt accents and stamping.

Paired up some circle medallions punched with a borrowed circle punch from Maria and a piece of paper given to me from a newbie to the Retreat.

Page 1 of two-page spread

Next page...
More felt accents and pre-printed chipboard pieces. I added the 100% stamped image from Just for Boys stamp set.

Stamped sub-title "Kindred Spirits" from Keyboard Alpha Stamp set and used a Rub-on.

Page 2 Poppy and Luke - the Kindred Spirits

It is a blurry shot and the color looks off..But you get the idea.

That's it for now!
