Using the Liftateers Week #12
Here is mine, called Here comes the Bride

I am trying to keep the colors of Christine's theme and flowers through out. Used CTMH Pear, Cotton Candy, Chocolate & Cocoa inks.

Week #14

I do have another full body photo of my Dad and Brother without the hi-jinks I may add over top of the tiki hut. Since the opposite page is planned to use two photos of my Mom and Brother. No hi-jinks through it's more of a Motherly love type shot.
May add Hawaii under the word Destination and Flower

Fiskateers - CHA CHA Online Crop Challenges

Here are the ALL the challenges from the online crop. I didn't get to complete them all, BUT I did get to 6 of them. After each of the 6 challenge descriptions you'll see my cards for the Challenge.
So here we ....

January always seems to be a time for bridal shows, and wedding planning for all those newly engaged brides.  Let’s start the challenges off with an easy one….create a wedding card for the bride and groom.  Any color, any size, any tools, any shape let your creative go!

Cricut Cut Image, Handstamped mr. & mrs., handmade flower from a rose petal

February - the month for hearts and romance.  Your challenge is to make a Valentines card  that does not have any hearts or the word love on it.
Handstamped words, Chocolate stickers and embroidery floss

Have you check out the Design Team projects lately?  Well now is the time to MARCH on over there and see what wonderful inspiration you find.   Here is the link to the projects: http://www2.fiskars.com/Crafting/Projects.
You will find projects on sewing, cards, layouts, kids crafts, home décor and so much more.
Your challenge is to create something that inspired you from the design projects.  Let us know who inspired you and what their project was that inspired you.
Handstamped use Close To My Heart stamps (some fussy cut), variegated thread and mailed off to My Mom, who has it in a frame!!!!

APRIL SHOWERS! Think Baby, Bridal, Rain showers etc. Shower us with your use of at least 4 Fiskars tools on this project.  Please list the tools you used in your gallery description.
Fiskars Items Used: Fiskars Textured Templates & Tool, Postage Stamp Squeeze Punch(edge of umbrella), Fiskars Border Stamp Set & Ultra Shape Cutter with Oval Template.

Inked up the raindrops and used scrap for all of the papers on the card.

MAY FLOWERS! Since we know that April showers bring May flowers, use a Fikars tool to make a flower and then use it on your project.

Used Fiskars Ultra Shape Tool & Flower/Leaf Templates

Then layers alternating papers and glueing as I went.

JUNE BRIDES! Let's honor the June brides white wedding dress by creating an all white project. The only exception is that your title or sentiment can be a different color if you choose.

Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch, mulberry paper, feathers, cut banner with birds, heart doily is part of a decorative garland compliments of Martha Stewart

TO BE COMPLETED - WHEN I NEED A CREATIVE SPARK!!!!
CHA CHA Challenge #7: July - Flags
Create a project using a FLAG . It can be a card- layout- tag-altered art-home décor—whatever suits your fancy. It can also be ANY type of FLAG – A state flag, country flag, garden flag, sports flag, holiday flag, birthday etc.  Please remember to post a pic of your creation in the gallery and then come back to this thread and leave a link to that gallery posting !  THANK YOU !
Create a handmade card with a handmade , matching/coordinating envelope. It can be of any theme/size-- but they both MUST be made by hand and not premade. Have you ever made an envelope out of an old calendar page? some pretty scrapbook paper ? Magazine page? Map? Lots of possibilities to go with the card you decide to make.
Some envelope tutorial sites ( in case you don’t have a template)
Back to school time. TAG you’re it ! Please, create one handmade tag with any theme, any shape or size. ....MUST include somethingorange and something green on it !
( Did you know this years Pantone color is Emerald Green ?)
Leaf it to October!  October makes me think of leaves.  So, make a creation that includes at least 5 leaves (same or different).  They don’t have to be fall leaves, or falling leaves---could be palm tree leaves if you want!
So thankful!  Create 3 different thank you card designs.  The 3 cards should be completely different from each other.  Address and mail them to someone as surprise happy mail. Share with us who/why you are sending them.
The holidays are always full of delicious food.  Follow this recipe to make a delicious scrapbook page layout…
 -3 buttons
 -3 different shapes
-3 photos
-1 yard of ribbon
-1 border strip (cut, punched, ripped, etc., you decide!)
-1 sticker
-1 stamped image

Add in a sprinkle of creativity
Mix with a love for all crafts!

14th - Heart's Day (coined by my daughter)
18th - Family Day (celebrated here in certain provinces in Canada, not in US)
23rd - My daughter's Birthday (Bundled Up and Rosy Cheeks in photos)

All Bundled Up:

Rosy Cheeks still after hot chocolate which is still on her lips.

Family - Judy, Gerry, Tristan, Uncle Tony?

My Page is up over at If It's Groovy...Stop by and see what we have been up to! Our 4th Birthday Blog Hop starts tomorrow!

After getting a bunch of photos from my Mother-in-Law I sorted through them and got them into some what of a chronological date order. This picture was actually one of the better spur of the moment shots of my Husband (young) and his Mom. Aside from those Photo Studio pictures there was not a lot of baby photos of my Husband...It amazes me how far photography has come.

For this page I chose colors that played off the purples in the photo. I love how the wine color works. By matting the photo with a larger mat on the 3 sides I hand-stitched with some embroidery floss in a matching shade as the die-cut paper.

Stamped the family quote and fussy cut the sentiment, popped it up with foam tape and attached to a patterned paper mat. Cut out journaling strips which I still need to get those details from my Mother-in-Law to fill in, but inked up the edges.

Cut out my title "Family" using Cricut machine than using a background stamp I stamped on the patterned image. Added the paper flower dot for the "i" and a pearl half. Added a few more of those pearl halves to the bottom edge of the die-cut paper too!

Paper Secrets SYAO - Round 2 - Week #49

This week I worked on another page for my Brother and Sister-In-Law.
I am putting together pages from their Hawaiian Wedding. I did not put a title on this page only because I was not able to be at the wedding and I need to get an idea from them about what was going on....insight, keywords they describe to know what will fit them.

Products: 8+ repeat shapes (hearts), tags, canvas/burlap, rick-rack.
Techniques: machine stitching & distressing

Pop's Farm - IIG Challenge Scrap Snob Page

My Scrap Snob Challenge Page is up over on If It's Groovy.
So What is a "Scrap Snob" you ask....Well, Deb over at If It's Groovy gave us the task of using only one Brand for everything on your page.

I used all Close to my Heart(CTMH) products to complete this page.

The papers are from the CTMH Mayberry Collection. Inked Distressed the edges using CTMH Chocolate ink and Fussy cut out the stamped title using CTMH Token Alphabet.

Used CTMH fine tip side of the Chocolate Marker for my journaling. Distressed the CTMH Chocolate Cardstock using CTMH Edge Distresser. Stamped the Month using CTMH Classmate Alphabet and the Date using CTMH Amore Numbers. The Pumpkin/Indian Corn image is from CTMH Thanksgiving stamp that I used the CTMH inks and Blending Pen.

I did use my Sew Easy Tool to mark out my stitching BUT I did use CTMH twine. Picture is from 1976 but the journaled memories are current.

Card Lifters - Week #14

This is my 1st year joining the Card Lifters over on Fiskateers. Each week we are given another Fiskateer members card to "lift" (copy elements: design layout mainly, but techniques, titles etc.) I am hoping that I can get a stash of birthday cards by doing Card Lifters this year!
Here is week #14:
This one I loved the design for a Valentine's Card. SO I am ahead of the game on one card!
