April XOXO DT Lift

When I went to do this months lift and it was interesting to see what picture I used. The picture was from last year in March. We had took a "run" (a Drive) just after all the snow had finally melted. Here in Newfoundland, we are in the 3rd week of April and there is still snow on the ground!

This month we lifted from Tess's inspiration. She had mentioned that she wouldn't mind seeing a boy spin on her page. So, I started out going with the boy theme and "mixed it up!" I added some flourish and shimmer, hey my daughter was in the pic too!

Here is those flourishes and shimmer!

Here is Tess's page we used for inspiration:

A Thank you card for the Storytime Librarian

I really haven't done much in the way of scrapbooking since the retreat I went to back at the beginning of November. I only made the cards for the events that were happening currently, mainly birthdays. I never even got the chance to make any Christmas cards...glad I have a few in my stash for the teachers this year. This is the last one for 2013.

Storytime Librarian received this one:
I don't remember which cartridge I found the book in. The tickets were stamped and I pulled out the old deco scissors.

Found this quote below to include as the sentiment. Since there was such fun and entertaining sounds coming for the storytime room. It really fit well!

Paper Secrets SYAO - Round 2 - Week #2

Here is the sketch we were given:

We had to use the sketch above.
4 out of the 8 items listed:
ribbon/twine, 3+buttons, 3+flowers, rubons, 3+ photo corners, 3+brads, staples, border punch
TECHNIQUES
stamping, misting, distressing
Had to use 1 of the techniques. I ended up using 2. Stamping and Ink Distressing

Here is what I came up with:

Close To My Heart - Just the Ticket

I hand stitched the ribbon on.
