1st Layout Completed for February's XOXO DT Challenge!

This month I got to use our lift twice!

Here is the 1st one I did using a Halloween Pic of my kids. I started off using the sketch of Kimmy's layout, but then it turned into something of my own creation!

A button cluster in the top corner using a spider I had cutout previously but didn't use on another layout! 

I had used these two cool Halloween themed punches at a scrapbooking retreat. So, I made an extra strip just in case! Got the chance to put it to use!

A pre-printed journal box, jack-o-lantern and a cat I had cut out, but never used, until now! 

As you can see it turned out as it's own creation...I started out using the sketch elements from Kimmy's layout! Then it became it's own!

Fiskafriends LO Lift #1

The Fiskateers Liftateers have found a new home over on the Facebook Fiskafriends page.

So, here is my page for the 1st Layout Lift!

Got to use a bunch of things from my stash. This black glitter paper that I cut out 31st layered on top of the pre-printed chipboard piece.

Using some more of those pre-printed chipboard pieces and stickers.

Came out pretty good for a picture of a Fairy and Race Car Driver. Still gathering up the list of games and activities that they had at the event. 

Some more from the Weekend Retreat...

I had one page I started with my daughter in the tractor with Poppy. I never brought the Just for Girls stamp I have which is just like the one I used on my son's pages.

I used the negative from the punched paper I used to make the medallions on my son's page. I cut the paper into a strip. Added the felt button and on the other circles will use the Just for Girls stamp.

Used alphas from a Alpha Stack I had.

Now onto Halloween pages....

Combined stamps and used what was leftover in my Mischief Workshop On The Go.

Witch image was from the Wicked SOTM. Stamped on grey and used a felt die-cut piece. 

Used the Mischief Workshop Stamp and markers for the candle wine bottle. Fussy cut the books some bigger than others and changed directions...also popped up two!

More die-cut felt. "Happy Halloween from Workshop stamp set and numbers from a Martha Stewart set.

Ta Da!

Party at School

I was going to place the title at the top of the page, but it got lost with the pumpkins. Added the beige banner to the back...it still was lost.

So, it found at spot on the bottom. White Pigment marker for the date.

Used some rub-ons in my Halloween stash and CM Circle Cutting system for the perfect circle cut of her pumpkin snack.

Some Trick Or Treating Shots

Using CTMH Pennant Alpha Stamp for my title and date.

Using scrap papers for mats and accents. 

On to a bit of decor and friends.

I loved how this haunted house came out.

 I used CTMH Cricut - Artbooking cartridge for both the house and Eek!

I liked the Bat paper behind the house with the graveyard punched border. Added the Mummy striped paper to the top...THINKING I might add some wiggly eyes peeking through. 

I find that Christmas pages are a challenge for me...The Halloween page below was giving me that similar feeling. There is so much going on in pictures and then you add your cute papers...My eyes go crazy...

A little busy but done!

My daughter popping candy from her Trick or Treat endevor as she showed "The Boys" (aka: our dogs) Which turned into The Candy Chase. You can see one of "The Boys" in the bottom corner pic just behind her hand.

Half Moon Witch Light Fixture Cover Up

I have a light fixture in my Kitchen that has been missing the glass cover. I know it was missing last Summer when we stayed in my Father-in-Law's rental house and well... Put it this way if the mechanics of something is working properly that is all that matters!
So, here is what you see if you look up:

So, Since I am having Family Dinner at my house Sunday and I am going with the Halloween theme. I made this light cover up!

So, Do you want to know how I made it?

Using my Cricut and the A Child's Year Cartridge I cut out 4 of the 2 different style witches. I varied the sizes too. The largest was cut at 5", then I when down to 3 1/2" and then two cut at 2 1/2" - The witches represent our family members. Hubby, Daughter, Son and Me....oh and there are two cats on one of the designs. So, my two dogs are represented.....maybe under a spooky spell!

Next, I tied the witches with one strand of embroidery floss in an ivory shade.

I just guessed that I needed about 4 half moons & mounting strips in Yellow. Using my Creative Memories Custom Cutting Tool - Jumbo Circle. I cut out 4 half circles in mulberry paper.

Attached my yellow cardstock strip, which was cut 1" x 12" and to the back attached mini glue dots. Using the mini glue dots facing the edge of the fixture I stuck each section up.

Adjust as I when around the fixture and TA-DA, Hocus Pocus, Al-shsam!

Lazy Day, Basketball and another Challenge Completed

Got to sleep in today until 9:15 am which was nice. Especially since I pulled my back yesterday when I went for an unexpected little ice-skating stunt walking down the driveway. So, the family had a lazy morning and went to see my second cousin play in her basketball game. Did a little shopping at the mall had an early dinner and came home. I got to finish another challenge too! So, happy that I completed 8 out of the 12 challenges by the 16th!
So here is the latest.The Challenge was: You must have 3 stars, 4 stripes or 4 strips of paper & your title needs to come from the word "Freedom" or you need a 7 letter title. Feel free to use as many or as little letters from the word.
