14 Days of Valentine's - Day 3

Here is a pocket page to hold my kid's Valentine's from 2010
I made using my Sew Easy Tool with the Heartbeat attachment
Tape I found with the Conversation Hearts, just attached it to cardstock.

Here's a shot without the cards in. The top piece/strap is loose to allow the cards to fit nice.

A Girl & Her Dog!

Here is a layout I finished and finally put it into my daughter's Album. I have been bad about cleaning up after scrapping lately. I was looking for a certain paper pack I wanted to use and found a bunch of pages in the works or just waiting for journaling.
Sorry about the pic, it was at night so there is some flash on the page. Got to try another during the day!
Here was one that was finished:

Pages, Pages, Pages

I find that have a pile actually a 3-ring binder full of pages that just need something to be completed. I was reading somewhere and they mentioned PHD, which means Pages Half Done. So, I guess I am not alone.
Anyway, last night got to finish 2 of those PHD's and do a new layout with scrappin' friends at her house. A much needed welcome after hubby being home since Tuesday. So, he is working today, thankfully! Not just for because we(kids/I) have our routine back but also so we can eat and put diapers on the youngest.

OK, so I am going to get something done today and update. Since there hasn't been a pic posted in a few!

Needs a little something more but at least it is out of the Pages Half Done Binder!

Lazy Day, Basketball and another Challenge Completed

Got to sleep in today until 9:15 am which was nice. Especially since I pulled my back yesterday when I went for an unexpected little ice-skating stunt walking down the driveway. So, the family had a lazy morning and went to see my second cousin play in her basketball game. Did a little shopping at the mall had an early dinner and came home. I got to finish another challenge too! So, happy that I completed 8 out of the 12 challenges by the 16th!
So here is the latest. The Challenge was: You must have 3 stars, 4 stripes or 4 strips of paper & your title needs to come from the word "Freedom" or you need a 7 letter title. Feel free to use as many or as little letters from the word.

Crop Cancelled for Today

So, the crop I was supposed to go today was canceled and I am disappointed. But I did get to finish up a Challenge last night.
For this challenge, I had to create some sort of grid on your page that has 12 sections. You must also use the number 12 in your title or subtitle somehow and your layout needs to be Christmas-themed.

Another Challenge Completed:
1) JUNE/Summer themed
2) Multiple photos (doesn't have to be 6, but must be more than 1)
3) MUST USE 6 papers (no more, no less) -- (cardstock & pp each count as one..)
4) NOT A REQUIREMENT but as an optional extra challenge: Use the number 6 somewhere on your layout....(I used the NUMBER 6 in my journaling.. ages of the boys)

Looking at the layout together I think I need to add the Yankees Symbols on the right page. It is too empty..

Doubles, No Husband and More Snow

So, I was hoping to get the chance to work on more of these Challenges from the Memorable Seasons website. But what stood in my way: 1st - Gerry worked 2 doubles in a row stayed up in Yonkers, NY on Tuesday after the first double shift at Martin's (a guy he works). 2nd - Kids were in Mommy mode. 3rd - I had visitors throughout the day. All of which is life and some was an unexpected welcome. The worst of it was waiting for Gerry, my husband to get home from work in the middle of the third snow storm this season. And to top it off and making it nerve racking. He was doing this at 1 a.m. from White Plains, NY after pulling 2 doubles and driving his front wheel drive commuting car. So, anyway at 3 a.m. he was 30 miles away and to get to that point it took 3 hours. So, about 5 a.m. he arrived home. Thankfully and I finally got some sleep!

So, just finished up what I started two days ago. Challenge #3 from MS.
3 pictures, 3 word title, 3 different manufacturers & use green.
I used Making Memories tweed pattern paper & sage green scraps, The Paper Company Corduroy Hunter & Unknown Grosgrain Ribbon Scraps (Micheal's Brand) from a spool that went missing.

Just got another Challenge posted to do from MS site:
Here is the link also placed here to remind me how to find it.
Adding another: One Word
