March Swaps

House Mouse Card Swap - PP

Colored in using colored pencils and added CTMH Liquid Glass (Glossy Accents) for candle and Happy Birthday die cut. Die cut scallop was a AlliExpress die order.

March Administration Appreciation Cards -PP

(10 cards sent! But only 8 cards here, forgot to take 2 pics!)

Sorry for the glare on some of the pictures. I wasn't thinking about adding them to my blog and when I do a swap I always take a quick pic before pop it in the mail!

Handmade Flower, Lace Embossed Folder, Inked Edges, Stamped "Thank You" using CTMH D1703 Nature's Wish stamp set.

Fussy cut pattern paper, Prima and The Paper Studio flowers, inked dryer sheet for leaves, Bird is from Stampin' Up - Nature's Hello set, edges inked.

Different pattern papers, sticker from a RAK.

Punch-out's from a Hot of the Press Card maker's Kit I had in my stash. I popped it up and placed ribbons underneath.

Matted the flowered paper with white cardstock and edge distress and inked around all pieces. Stamped "Thank You" using CTMH D1703 Nature's Wish stamp set. Inked edges and added some scrap burlap pieces I had.

Inked edges of card base with Sunset ink. Layered the patterned papers and matted them on kraft cardstock. Stamped image came from CTMH C1505 Pun Fun set using Chocolate ink.

Using my homemade coffee stained paper. Stamped various images to resemble a postcard. This was on it's way to a postal employee.  I used the Norman Rockwell image inked up the edges a bit and matted on kraft cardstock. Cut out "thanks" on the Cricut using 1/2" Artiste.

Same Artiste Cricut "thanks" but at 1" cut size. Used my Sizzix Nestabilities Circles and Stampin' Up Hearts a Flutter stamp set.

Adminastration Apresation Treat Holder - PP

I made a Treat Holder for one of the Admins in the group, because she had accidentally sent me a treat holder thinking I was her partner for a swap back around Christmas time. She told me just to keep it and she will make another one for the right partner. I have been wanting to make one for her in return.

I made little coin pockets, the edges had a tiny tab that were glued down. Then I placed crafting clips (Dollar tree has these by their crafts) to make sure they held. Left them overnight and then applied glue to the center of each pocket.

The treats I filled the pockets with!

I wanted the pattern to wrap around the top of the holder. Finished Holder.

Tag & Card Kits - Added to as I get them!

Being part of some of these Facebook Groups you can sign up to get Tag & Cards Kits.

You used items that are given to you in the kit to create a tag or card that you can do what you please with after you post your creation in the group.

You have to use some part of each of the items your given. You are allowed to add a limited amount of your items to the creation. It might be a sentiment, cardstock, flower, image, etc.
I will let you know what I added if I forget to take a pic before I start working on a kit.

Sketch Challenge

I really wanted to use up some papers that had been in my stash for a while. But, I was having a hard time getting it to work. Until I found this one page layout challenge. My daughter had just got a new loft bed and it all just worked!

Here is the sketch:

So, after turning the sketch on it's side. I got her page done.
Used Cricut CTMH Artbooking for the circle cut at 5 1/2" (trimmed to half that I wanted).
Alpha stickers that could have been my 1st set I ever possibly bought!

Birthday Cards for Kids

Here are some simple birthday cards I created for 2 kids parties we were going to!

Hockey Themed - Used washi tape and CTMH Ink Cranberry. Made a few lines on the ivory cardstock to look like the boards on the ice rink, scrap piece of patterned stripe paper and a sticker from a dollar store set I had.

This card I used a printed card, added the sentiment, popped up the gift after stamping and fussy cutting onto the dark green square.

It's Been Awhile!

While there's always excuses, reasons, procrastination that come with not posting
on here in a long time!
I do have to say Life Happens!

I have still been scrapbooking and making cards, just not have been good at taking the pictures and updating like I used to!

I have been attending two retreats a year, which is where most of my scrapbooking has been getting done.
I participate in the card swaps at the retreats also.

Just recently, joined back up with Close To My Heart!
That being said, I am hoping to get back into posting on my blog more often!

So, if your still following me thanks for sticking around!

Card Kit finally completed!

I can't remember when I got this card kit promo from Close To My Heart, but I finally pulled it out and finished all the 8 card designs provided.

I just did a search and found out it was September 2009 promo!!!!

I got into my scraproom and pulled this kit out and over the week got to finish all of them here and there!

The 1st day
  • I went through the designs and cut all my papers so they were ready to go with each card design.
  • Inked up all the edges that I wanted to based on design and my flair choices, even did some card bases too!
Time to get the kids from the bus!

The 2nd day
  • I had some extra time today. So I got in the scraproom and stamped out all the images and sayings.
The next day (3rd day)
I missed out on the following day consecatively! So, the 3rd day in the scraproom!
  • I started assembling my cards. Got two completely finished)
Kiddos off bus and off to scheduled lessons and practices!

Here are my cards:

Happy New Year!

Well it has been a long time since I have posted....

There has been a lot going on!

I have been scrapbooking and making cards still, just not as often as I would like!

I just came across a blog entry that made me think about my goals for the coming year as far as my crafting ventures go! Here is the link: what-are-your-2016-scrapbooking-goals  I like the goals she listed.

One of my basic and biggest problems is my space has been in transition for the past year. I have only been scrapbooking really at retreats and/or crops. Cards I can get to easier and quicker. So, my 1st goal this year is to get all my supplies organized into my scraproom. Since this is a big task in itself...I am going to start with this one goal and hopefully get to those goals listed in the post above either along the way or as soon as goal #1 is achieved!

So, do you have any goals you have set?
I am always surprised and excited to hear goals and achievements...It pushes me to step it up or get moving!
